Once a year our HEAR/HEAR Reading Series has a year-end party to celebrate with friends and staff and supporters. HEAR/HEAR 10 took place December 8 2010 at the Free Times Cafe a featured musical performances from: Stone Broke Buskers and Whitney Messam. Stone Broke Buskers Sam Balson & Meghan Patrick (0:02 - 5:13) "Miss Ohio" (Gillian Welch cover) Whitney Messam (5:17 - 9:45) "No More Footsteps" HEAR/HEAR is a bi-monthly reading series celebrating local authors who are spreading excitement about writing to youth in our community through the NOW HEAR THIS! literacy workshops. These events are our way of thanking our authors for the hard work they do. We couldn't achieve our program goals with out them, and we want to promote their voices — like they promote the voices of the students they work with.
